Amanda Eakins, GSA Faculty Adviser

Dr. Eakins began her higher education career in 2014 at the University of Oregon, College of Education as the Manager of the Student Academic Services department. She later joined the Graduate School Team at Idaho State University in 2016. She is an active member of Kappa Delta Pi (KPD) and serves on the International committee and International Partnership subcommittee. She advises several student groups on campus to include the Graduate Student Association, Women of Color Association, the Black Student Association and the United Nations-ISU student club. She is a Veteran of the United States Army and is the recipient of  the “Soldier of the Year” award for her Unit and Battalion. Amanda earned her Doctorate of Education from St. Thomas University. Her research interest is multidisciplinary and focuses on Student success in the online classroom,  STEM Education, and Graduate Education.
